Our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you (running the subscription), our legitimate interests (e.g. keeping the service secure and answering queries), consent (for any marketing), and legal obligation (e.g. tax records).
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site (e.g. which pages are viewed, roughly how visitors arrive here). This is not essential to the site working, so it only runs if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner; your choice is remembered in your browser. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data and reloading the page.
Google Analytics may set cookies and process data (such as your IP address, in truncated/anonymised form) on Google's servers, which can be outside the UK/EEA; Google's own privacy policy explains how it handles this. We don't use Google Analytics to identify you personally, and we don't currently run any advertising pixels (e.g. a TikTok pixel); if that changes, we'll update this policy and the cookie banner first.
Some of our providers (e.g. Stripe, Telegram) may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's own UK/EU adequacy arrangements.
We keep subscription and account data for as long as your subscription is active, plus [X years] afterwards for accounting and legal purposes (HMRC generally expects financial records to be kept for 6 years).
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact help@certybet.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
This service is for adults aged 18 and over only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
